this was beautiful. sounded very video game-y. much like something from an old SNES game. i've listened to a lot of your music, and it's all really good, but this is definitely among my favorite tracks from you.

Damn, I wish I was into music back in high school I might of had a "music tech" class if I looked around for one. I remember hearing people tool around with tracks like this. If your thinking of continuing with musics in college where are you planning on going?

Relative to this track you can definitely layer some really deep sounds on top of this lo fi mix. Melodies are great, but I can envision some of your guitars going on top of this. Maybe some slick funky chord progressions with mutes.

Not sure if you've ever played with reasons rewire function but if you use a program like garage band to play the original sound file, you can synch the two sequencers and start layering some heavier sounds into this. Or you could just take the midi data and throw it all into new instruments. Dunno, this would be fun to hear mixed out.

In preface, I really like the fact that this is a school project for a High School Music Tech course. My college music tech course wouldn't have something this "fun."
To review, I enjoyed the early techno audio file'd drum track, especially the dome hits on the symbols. They almost gave me mini-flash backs to daft punk parties. The 'bubbly' arp part that was the main focus for the majority of the song sat pretty easy. It didn't over extend its importance, so other colors could come through, and it wasn't as plain as I was expecting it to be. Don't get me wrong, I like the sonic-midi feel as much as the next guy, but I wasn't expecting the arp to dance like it did. I'll make sure to give it more credit next time.
For Criticism, I don't want to ask for more of anything in terms of orchestration. But I would have liked to see some of the parts come back and play around other parts. Like the harp-ish, plucked string-ish part maybe mess around with the low arp, and then the low arp breaks out and goes up a bit? I don't know if that makes sense, but TL;DR, each part sat in its own section too much.
P.S. the "BAOoo"s were cute. Very well done. I hope you got an A.

Gotta love tracker music! I can tell you got the most out of old software, and I respect that. Of course, it's hard to boot up a tracker and make a song that doesn't sound like it belongs in Sonic the Hedgehog. But you stuck to the feel you were trying to go for and made it the best Sonic the Hedgehog song ever. :)
